Vancouver Parka
Black Raven

€780
Color: Black Raven
Size:
Its design recalls the military style. The back is longer and it is a clear reference to the Fishtail parka, the garment of the American army that the Seventies have turned into an icon of protest. It is unlined and has a wide volume. It can be worn on its own or as a last covering layer. The front zipper has a ribbon in view and a double slider. Two wide bellows pockets on the chest, a third one in the low cut, on the right side. The hood has a double regulation: it is possible to adjust both the dimension of the hood opening and the total volume, making it able to contain a bike helmet. The cuffs are adjustable through a special anti-pilling velcro: it does not damage the jumpers nor gets caught on fabrics. On the left forearm, closed by an invisible zipper, there is a document holder pocket. All the seams are sealed through the application of a thermo-welded seam
Model wears M. Model measures: chest 97cm, waist 76cm, hips 88cm, height 186cm

1. WHEN THE YARN IS HIGH-TECH: Ten times thinner than a hair, stronger than steel, able to reflect the light, to hold or to disperse the heat. These are last generation yarns. The result of the research paths which develops in the most different angles of the industrialized world. Beste operates a careful monitoring work. Once selected, the yarns enter the company circuit of the weaving mill

2. FROM YARN TO THE FABRIC: In the Italian weaving mill Dinamiche Tessili, by Piantini brothers, in the province of Pistoia, skilled weavers combine a profession with a century-old story behind with the technology of the most evolved looms. Warps and wefts weave to give life to the fabric of our Vancouver Parka (see map)

3. THE PLUS OF BESTE: In the Colle department, the finishing process takes place. Advanced machineries, often adapted to the specific MONOBI’s needs, under the control of skilled and specialized staff, stabilize the fabric, soften it, keep under control the color and appearance uniformity. With long and very well-structured cycles, aestethic and performance are combined according to the typical needs of the brand (see map)

4. PERFORMANCES' BOOST: Once the dying or finishing process is over, the fabric is usually addressed to a further qualitative leap. Through a bonding process, step done in the Accoppiatura Pratese factory, the fabrics are reinforced through the application of a membrane. It is a passage which adds the waterproof performance without compromising breathability (see map)

5. FROM FABRIC TO THE FINAL GARMENT: From the dying and finishing department, the fabric moves to the contiguous Beste sewing lab where the manufacturing cycle starts. The automatized blade cutter, the laser cut, the operations of the traditional and ultrasound assembly, the weldings and the thermo-welded seams, the goose down or artificial fiber injection, until the ironing and the final test (see map)
