A revolutionary initiative to take control of the supply chain from the raw material.
The ITACO project: 100% Made in Italy cotton
Reviving the cotton fields in the south of Italy combined with new innovative cotton seed and a semi-automated production chain within the Italian borders. ITACO is a rare and special initiative to not only reduce the carbon footprint of our favorite fabric but also reimagine the entire process; reducing water consumption, finding creative solutions to waste reduction, and investing in our community in an ethical and supportive way for our employees but also our community.
Void of any pesticides or harsh chemicals from the very beginning allowing for a healthy crop, this farming process naturally increases soil nutrients and water retention, allowing the natural cotton to take to the dying and manufacturing process that naturally requires less water than your standard cotton. What also sets the ITACO cotton apart from your average fabric is its hand feel greatly ensuring quality dedication to care every step of the way.

By reshoring our organic cotton production, we are paying homage to our heritage while also paving a future for fashion that can be enjoyed for generations to come. Future MONOBI cotton garments will be made entirely from 100% Made in Italy ITACO cotton, thus guaranteeing quality, craftsmanship, and full transparency of the supply chain.
